It was possibly the most crowded book signing in the history of Paris bookshop Les Mots à la Bouche. Gengoroh Tagame’s newest manga translation The Contracts of the Fall was sold out immediately. The artist with the unique bear signature came to the French Capital on November 7, 2015 to sign exclusive advance copies of his book which is officially out in January 2016.
Our colleague Simeon Morales met the King of Manga on site and had the possibility to talk to him about his newest release. He’s very please, he said, as modest as can be. On the evening before, Tagame opened his first solo exhibition in France entitled Dessins Hardcore at ArtMen Paris Gallery.
The Contracts of the Fall is Tagame’s fourth manga with Bruno Gmünder. And we can promise you one thing: there are more in the making.
